It's the little things

Hagen had a great day at school today. It rained all day, was cloudy, and thundered some. It is always a big day at school when it thunders...all the kids talk about how scary it was all day. So cute how animated they get! It's the little things....

Today was Day 9 of Hagen's "drowning lessons" and he was GREAT! He is now floating by himself, but not consistantly so he is still in the class. He flips over to "swim" and flips back with ease to "float". It is difficult to watch but it was way more difficult to watch him sitting on the bottom of the baby pool not even trying to stand up. He was so proud of himself after his class at how well he did...he knew he did good...2 lolly pops were proof. It's the little things...

With all the rain today Ryan took the opportunity to put on Hagen's rain boots to go splash in the puddles. It took me back to childhood memories of those hot summer days that would end with rain and how good it smelled, how it cooled off a bit, and just so fun to stomp in puddles!! I just kept thinking that we were "making memories" tonight. It's the little things...

After Hagen's bath, he likes to be wrapped up in his towel and snuggle with whichever one of us did not do bath. Tonight Ryan bathed him and he wanted to snuggle with me all snug in his towel. It was raining so we were looking out the window and I was singing "It's Raining it's pouring" and then I said it was Hagen's turn to sing. He sang, "It's raining it's snoring...ashes ashes they all fall down". Close sweetie, very close. It's the little things...
