...he made me call him tonight and tell him he doesn't want him to come to our house.
I panicked...Ryan said to call Papa...Papa is out of town, so I called my brother. He answered and I said, "Is this the Easter Bunny?" He went right along with the unplanned plan.
Hagen wanted to actually talk to the EB.
Hagen: "EB, I don't want you to come to my house"
EB: "Hello Hagen!"
Hagen: "I have enough eggs at my house so you don't come"
EB: "Why don't you want me to come to your house?"
Hagen: (passes me the phone)
He is scared of the EB just like he was scared of Santa.
On another note Hagen is calling me sweetie. I may use that word alot and he may have picked it up from me. It's kinda cute to hear him say "No thank you sweetie".
The house smelled like vomit...Ryan thought so too. We figured out that the air filters needed to be changed VERY.BADLY. We turned the air on yesterday and it is just stirring things up. I hope this hizzy starts smelling better very soon.
Night night,
Carrie

Our first Pregnancy Appointment
We went for our first pregnant appointment yesterday! I am 7 weeks 2 days today! The baby looks great and has a strong heartbeat of 154 BPM. Our due date is November 14th, but we will probably induce early by a week or so like we did with Hagen. I would like to copy EXACTLY what we did the first time because it was perfect…but I understand it will be different.
I can take Tylenol PM or Benedryl to sleep…I tried Tylenol PM last night and it didn’t really help all that much, but I have been sleeping a bit better lately anyway. Around 4:00 I am pretty much up for the day…but doze off here and there. Good thing is that I don’t feel that tired…more just LAZY.
I'll be honest...I've been really worrying about multiples. With my dream of twin girls last week, my friend getting pregnant with triplets, and just the chances of multiples increasing when you are 35 my mind has been racing! Now, of course if there was more than one in there we would be excited and love all of our babies...it just would have been very hard. I'm glad to have one healthy one in there!
That’s all I have right now! Work is busy which is always good.

Carrie

Weekend
Ladies, I have a problem. I have insomnia. I can not sleep for the life of me! I have that restless leg thing so that doesn't help, but then just not being able to sleep. I'll sleep for 20 or so minutes and then be up forever! I'm tired...not as tired as I thought I would be but I'm dragging.
Yesterday I went to a wedding shower and the boys planted flowers in the front yard. They did a GREAT job! It looks awesome!
On Friday night Ryan and I wanted Craw fish. So we went to Nate's...best ever. We get it with Turbo on it which is VERY spicy. I think Hagen was absolutely grossed out watching us eat them. When they first took the lid off of the plate he screamed...like a little girl...thought they were alive. We often heard, "don't do that!" or "NO, stop it" while pulling their little heads off. I can totally see that being nasty to most people.
I saw my friend that was pregnant with the triplets that went to two. She is down to one...but it is strong and has been the strongest the whole time. She is relieved but was kinda getting excited about twins. She said when she first found out there were triplets the nurses and doctors weren't even congratulating her...they would say they were sorry. Which now is funny, but at the time it was not. Anyway, there were lots of pregnant people there and it was fun to be one of them. They would ask me how far along I am and I'd tell them and they would get the, "OH, so you are really REALLY early" look.
I stuffed eggs last night for Easter at the Darney's next weekend. I ran out of candy so I started putting coins in the rest. I wasn't going to put coins in them, but changed my mind at the end.
Hagen and I are off to Juliette's Birthday party today at the Gym where her Mama works. She is a gymnastics coach. I think he will have a blast!! Hopefully I can get a nap in this afternoon and actually sleep.

Cute Hagen story
We have Daffodils in the backyard. The other week on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse they were getting ready for the fancy dance and Goofy needed to get a dilly of a daffodilly for Clarabelle for the dance. So whenever we see the daffodils in the backyard I tell Hagen, "That there is a dilly of a daffodilly!"
This morning I had a shirt on that had some yellow flowers on it. Hagen said, "look Mama, you have a Dapper-dilly on your shirt!" Our dogs name is Dapper and sweet baby thought they were named for Dapper.
Cute.
I stood my ground last night. I turned off the monitor 3 times when he started whining for Wa-Ter.
We all survived. I am having insomnia! I can not sleep at all! Just little naps throughout the night.

Woah!
I had a dream last night that Hagen and I went to a sonogram and I was pregnant with Twin.Girls...woah!
Hagen slept on my floor last night...again...Ryan is out of town and this seems to have become a routine. One that I am not fond of or proud of. I just do not feel comfortable turning off the monitor when Ryan is out of town! I consoled him a few times and finally at 11:00 he was coming downstairs with me because Mama needs some sleep.
So I kicked Dapper and Chloe out, laid out the puppy sleeping bag and went to sleep. Would you believe that damn dog started barking at 6:00! I'm sure it was a leaf blowing by...then he laid by our door and moaned until I finally got him up and out to potty and fed at 7:00...
Grr Dapper...GRR!
Carrie
Confession time:
I didn't pack a lunch with the essential snacks and I didn't make my egg, 1 T diced ham, 1 T cheese and wheat toast this morning (diabetic diet when I was pregnant with Hagen) so I am eating AWFUL! I'm serious. You ready?
Breakfast: I ordered mozzarella sticks with my tea at Sonic...don't knock it...you will love them too. I almost love the marinara that comes with it as much as the cheese...I have thought about asking for about 6 of those suckers so that I can put it on pasta and have dinner already made.
AM snack: Nothing
Lunch: Went to Grandy's....bad start just pulling into the drive thru. I got Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed potatoes with gravy, and fried okra. I then asked for extra gravy on the side and a cinnamon roll with lots of icing. WHAT.THE.HELL. I feel like in that movie "7" the gluttony part...I feel SO gross. I did refrain from ordering a real coke and got my unsweet tea AND I didn't eat the okra...it was really slimy on the inside...kinda grossed me out!

Hagen and his new duds
I went shopping for some new summer duds for the little dude. Now, as most of you know buying my kiddo pants to fit his tiny waist and skinny hiney (just like his Mama) is very hard!
I went though his clothes from last summer and the shorts still fit. Yeah! So that means that I have not had to buy many shorts...just t-shirts. I LOVE funky t-shirts...vintage spider man, older worn out shirts...the latest favorite is "Super Grover"...love it!
Now the main part that I am wanting to say is that his shorts are 6-12 months...yes, you heard that right. My almost 3 year old (OMG) wears 6-12 month shorts and 3T shirts. He is just so little...I love it. I still don't get tired holding him around. He is just so light and little. I can not get enough of cupping his little hiney in my hand before bath...it's that cute and little. Ryan thinks I am obsessed with it, but I can't help it...I have to pinch it, cup it, etc. You would too if you could!
Ryan was out of town so we met a good friend for dinner. We were there for 1 hour and 45 minutes and sweet little boy sat in his highchair the whole time eating chips and hot sauce, mac & Cheese and veggies and dip. We had 3 potty breaks as well. I was so proud as it was dinner with a friend that hasn't seen him in a couple of years. He made sure and lifted his shirt to show that the macaroni was in his belly (we always say that we see through his belly at how much he ate...which isn't too far from the truth).
I told her I was pregnant which was difficult for me. You see, she is going through what I went through in a slightly different way when I was trying to get pregnant with Hagen. We had unexplained infertility (not sure why I couldn't get pregnant)...she has unexplained miscarriages (she had 3 last year). It is always hard to tell someone that is going through that "I'm pregnant". I remember hearing my friends say they are pregnant and I was so happy for them...honestly...but it would just hurt me so bad. I told her I know it is hard to hear...I understood...she was sweet and said she was really excited but yes, it hurts. I don't understand why such good people have trouble having babies.
On other news, my friend that did IVF a few weeks ago...PREGNANT...WITH TWINS!!! Woo Hoo! SO happy for her.
I'm going to go eat a chunk of cookie dough now...

Grr!
Ryan is going out of town again. It is totally not his fault, but it just bugs me! I know there are hubby's out there that travel way more than Ryan and I really don't know how you ladies do it! I get so lonely.
We skipped Little Gym last night...I think I am going to be a little gym dropout and you know what? I could care less! The teacher's screechy voice is enough to put me over the edge. Now, I will say that the kids love her...I'm just being a brat.
Hagen and I are going on a date tonight with one of Mama's friends and then tomorrow night we are going on ANOTHER date with one of Hagen's little teachers, Ms. Angie. She is moving in April and I think Hagen is one of her favorite. I'm so excited that I don't have to cook! You know how I am when my man is out of town. Lord...if he traveled 100% I would be as big as a house from going out to eat every night...and poor!
So, I buy most of Hagen's clothes. I pick it all out and I love doing it. Ryan will buy a signature piece here and there like:
1. Wranglers
2. Camo rain boots
3. Camo hoodie pullover from Bass Pro
4. Dear hunter shirt
5. Baseball Hat
You get the idea. Which is totally fine, not complaining at all. But today was bring your rain boots to school day! Hagen was so excited to bring his camo rain boots to show his friends. He marched in and promptly told the teachers "My Daddy got these for me!!!" Wow...he must be pretty special...way better than your Mama that dresses you from head to toe EVERYDAY. ;)
Oh, and an update on Hagen and his new t-ball set. Ryan was at softball last night so Hagen and I were playing t-ball in the yard. I think he may have some skills! Athletic skills! Like a real athlete! He is making contact with the ball every time! Now, you may think this is kinda of a no brainer, but we were thinking that he really didn't get the athletic gene. My side is in the band with a bit of running in it. Ryan...he is all sports...soccer, football, baseball, you name it. Ryan was SCRAPPY! In High school he was "the fastest white kid in Plano" for his graduating year...the "white" kid part was in there because one of his buddies Kenny was the fastest...so really Ryan was the 2nd fastest. Kenny and Ryan were both shorter than the others, but man...they were SCRAPPY and FAST. I got to cheer for them in 9th and 10th grade...they were good...I just had a flashback of Ryan's hiney in Mrs. Newman's English class...was it 9th or 10th grade Mer? Drool...
We will not be parents that push him to do something WE want him to do, but I am so happy to see him be interested in t-ball...Ryan would be SO.EXCITED. Honestly, over the moon...
Tata,
Carrie
P.S. first sonogram and appointment on Tuesday can NOT get here fast enough...
